SUPER WINGS!
Let's heat up some flavor for Super Bowl Sunday! This is a sweet/spicy combination that pairs very well with chicken wings-which are the ultimate game day finger food. Quick to prepare, and quick to cook-up on your grill!
Ingredients: 2 trays of chicken wings-approximately 48 wings, 1-16oz jar of pineapple marmalade,1-2 jalapeno peppers(cored, seeded and pureed).
For a dry rub: 3 tablespoons of salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon garlic and onion powder.
Preparation:In a saucepan, add the entire jar of the marmalade and the pureed jalapeno peppers. Over medium heat, stir until the pepper puree is blended with the marmalade and it has liquified. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Make up the dry rub by combining all ingredients in a resealable bag and shake until it's thoroughly blended.
Cooking the wings: Remove from tray, rinse under cold water, towel pat dry. (optional-cut off wing tips). Get your grill going on high heat. Pre-heat for 15-20 minutes.
Season chicken wings with dry rub, and place on the grill. While cooking, baste with the SUPER WING Sauce, brushing each side twice before turning over. Approximate cooking time is 10 minutes per side. (your cooking time may vary depending on the outside temperature and how hot your grill cooks). Once the wings are cooked, remove and enjoy!
