Mr.Barbecue's All American Sauce

This is a very savory tomato based sauce. Originally published in my book, The Great Barbecue Companion (1996,The Crossing Press)

Ingredients: 16oz. tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup vinegar,2 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce,1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon paprika, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, 1 teaspoon chile powder, 2 tablespoons minced scallions.

Preparation: Place all ingredients into a saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring ocassionally. Remove, allow to cool and enjoy. Makes 2.5 cups o' sauce.
